Taking Care of Children with Health Issues - Important Consideration for the Dental Professional Pediatric Cardiology for the Dental Practitioners.

Children and adolescents born with cardiac defects are surviving longer nowadays due to early diagnosis and improved therapies. It is crucial for the dentist to be aware of the implications of the cardiac defect and its repair for the delivery of dental care. Furthermore, given that their brain may have received proper oxygenation during its development, these patients may present cognitive and behavioral issues that the dental practitioner must understand.
