Dr. Sabbah is the Assistant Director of AEGD residency program at The University of Texas Health San Antonio, School of Dentistry (UTHSA). He completed his DDS, PhD in microbiology/immunology and two-year Advanced General Dentistry residency at UTHSA. His teaching activity involves working with residents on complex surgical and restorative procedures. He is the assistant director of the division of esthetic dentistry, where he focuses on veneers, zirconia and e.max restorations as well as periodontal esthetic surgery.
His research focus includes optimization of digital technology at UT for digital dentures and use PEEK for RPD and multilayer zirconia. He has co-authored several manuscripts and has spoken at several meetings. Dr. Sabbah has received several awards such as the UT Shine Academy of innovation award and the UT President's Translational and Entrepreneurial Research Award. He is the PI on several grants totaling $1.5 million.
